Former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a human right activist, Send. Shehu Sani has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari to rescue Nigeria from all forms of banditry.
While addressing journalists shortly after he is been recognised with an award by National Association of Nigerian Students (NAN) Zone C, in Jos, the former law maker, pointed out that, “it is important that, those in the position of political power today, need to wake up to the reality of Nigeria today! People are been killed, people are been kidnapped, the country is on a siege”.
Shehu Sani added, “I come from North West, bandits are unleashing mehyem, bandits and terro against our people.

He said, the know that, “the most important legacy they can leave behind, is a safe and secured Country, better than the one they met”.

The States of Sokoto, Katsina, Zamfara, Niger, and kaduna States, are under the siege of kidnappers and bandits” Said, Shehu Sani.
According to him, “Villagers are selling their homes and farms to pay ransom to kidnappers, life is becoming unbearable for Nigerians”.
“It is important that, the president should know, the most important legacy he can leave behind, is a safe and secured Country, better than the one he met.
Nigeria is on the edge, the insurgency, hardsmen violence, the bloodshed, the mindless killings in this Country, must stop!
We must as a Country know, that, this Country is spilling, and the earlier get our axe right, the better.
Nigeria has never been divided as it is today, those in the positions of Political power should know, that they should wake up and restore order and Civil authority in Nigeria.
We cannot leave our Country in the control of terrorist, and bandit of terrorists of hardsmen.
We must come together, Nigeria needs peace,Nigeria needs justice, Nigeria needs equity”
