Plateau: Crisis Rocking PDP, Stateholders rejects suspension of JT Useni’s ward Chairman

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Stakeholders from Lantang have rejected the purpoted suspension of Reak ward chairman of the party  by an artificial  faction said to be created by the LGC Chairman Joshua Laven Ubandoma.

In a message conveyed through press statement as signed by the stakeholders and EXCO at that level which recognised the last congresses conducted by the party across 17 LGAs of the state, expressed dismay over the development as they expressed concern on how “some disgruntled elements in the party are working tiredlessly to cause disharmony”.

According to the statement, the stakeholders said, “as ward exco and stakeholders, we have not written any petition to your factional leadership regarding any misconduct on our ward Chairman.
That at no single time has our attention been drawn to any misconduct of any sort by the Chairman”

The release pointed that, “the procedures for any disciplinary measures are clearly spelt out in the Party constitution which to the best of our knowledge have not been followed”.

The stakeholders and EXCO further declared the suspension as “null and void” in their eyes describing such action as an attempt to destabilize their  hard earned peace which they said, “will be resisted” but that, they can only can collaborate in areas that will promote the growth of our Party.

They called on all all stakeholders to conduct themselves with a view to bringing unity and not overheating the political system.
You can count on our as.

Meanwhile, this medium has keenly observed that, it is not longer news that, the PDP Crisis in Plateau which is becoming a pandemonium and embarrassing situation across almost all the local government Areas and wards, is been fueled by some few selfish ambitions minded leaders of the party.

The Factional Chairman
(Ventim Tyem)
PDP Langtang North

Sir,
RE: SUSPENSION OF REAK WARD CHAIRMAN
We the undersigned have been following the events of things within the PDP family in the State and Langtang North in particular which have not been healthy for the growth of the Party. We also watched with dismay, how some disgruntled elements in the party are causing disharmony.
Notwithstanding, in all these we have conducted ourselves in a manner that we had a peaceful ward congress. Ours is one of the ward that had no factions. Thus cannot allow anything that will bring disunity in our ward, though conscious of the existence of factions in the Party.
We have been therefore constrained to write and note as follows: –
That as ward exco and stakeholders, we have not written any petition to your factional leadership regarding any misconduct on our ward Chairman.
That at no single time has our attention been drawn to any misconduct of any sort by the Chairman.
That the procedures for any disciplinary measures are clearly spelt out in the Party constitution which to the best of our knowledge have not been followed.
That we have resolved to stand by the Chairman, as he is the product of the people’s mandate
However, we have resolved as follows:
That the purported suspension letter which is an attempt to tarnish the good image of our Chairman be withdrawn forthwith.
That the suspension is null and void in our eyes.
That any attempt to destabilize our hard earned peace will be resisted
That we can collaborate with you in areas that will promote the growth of our Party.
That all stakeholders must conduct themselves with a view to bringing unity and not overheating the political system.
You can count on our assurances.
Thank you.
