Southern Kaduna attacks: resign as Chairman NGF, human right group tells Lalong.

The Ag. Director-General, Global Centre for Media and Human Empowerment (GCMHE),  Charles Ejoh has challenged Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau state to resign as Chairman, Northern Governors’ Forum (NGF).

Charles Ejoh threw the challenge while addressing a world press conference on Thursday in Jos the Plateau state capital on the security situation in the country.

The Media and human Right Advocate noted that, “Organization which is not political, religious or socially affiliated or held allegiance to any body had observed with dismay what it called insensitive and lackluster approach of the NGF under the leadership of Gov. Lalong towards the ongoing genocide in Southern Kaduna and the killings by armed bandits of innocent Nigerians in other parts of the North”.

He further expressed sadness  saying, “it was more pained with the situation in Southern Kaduna because it is purely a genocide”.

Consequently, GCMHE said, it considered the NGF as a betrayal of the people’s trust which has sent a wrong signal to other regions of their inability to secure their people. “We urged the Chairman of the NGF, Barr. Simon Lalong to resign its appointment owing to his poor performance of the Forum as his own state(Plateau) has suffered poor governance”, Ejoh observed.

He added that Lalong resignation would afford him the opportunity to pay attention to mirage of problems confronting his state and enabled him to concentrate on improving the fortunes of the people in the State.
