Aspirants for the leadership of the PDP in Plateau state has paid a condolence visit to the home of Professor Dimis Mailafiya, Director General, Useni Campaigns Organization.
The aspirants who were led by one of the Chairmanship aspirants, Hon. Aminu Izang said, “they are in Mista- Ali, the Mailafiya’s home town and family of the deceased to commiserate with them on the death of their mother, Hajiya Rabi Mailafiya.
The Chairmanship aspirant while bearing the condolence message on behalf of the Plateau PDP SEC Aspirants congratulated the Mailafiyas’ for the great woman they had in their mother.
Responding on behalf of the Family, Professor Dimis Mailafiya thanked the delegation and expressed appreciation to the PDP SEC Aspirants and PDP family for their show of respect and love for the Mailafiyas.
Mailafiya described the relationship between him and his late mother as that which has mutual understanding despite been of two different faith “My mother died a devoted Muslim, am a Christian, religion has never been a barrier between us”. Said Mailafiya.
“we appreciate your visit to the family, my life has been a miracle with my mother having lost my dad while i was in primary three.
My professorship and all that i am today, is a product of her struggles.
I thank God for everything .
May God bless you all! For those of you whos parents are still alive, ensure you take good care of them”
Earlier, Hon. Bisidi who held from same Bassa LGA, said the deceased son professor Mailafiya has been a strong pillar and a Political father to the entire community, hence the need to identify with him in this moment of grieve.
The group also prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul.
Recalled that this medium had reported death of the mother of Prof.Dimis Inusa Mai-Lafia, Hajiya Rabi Mailafiya who died after a protracted illness and funeral prayer had since take place same day at Mista-Ali-Bassa LGA àccording to Islamic rites.
May Allah forgive and have mercy upon her soul.
