As crisis rocking People’s Democratic Party PDP continue deepening iin Plateau State, Sen. Gen. JT Useni has urged agrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State not to leave the party but remain committed to ensuring that, the party comes back to power in 2023.
Useni made this call while addressing party stalwarts at his campaign office along Dogon Karfe in Jos City, Plateau State capital.
He expressed dismay over the decision of the national body of the Party to conduct congress in the state contrary to that of collective resolve of the Stakeholders at a meeting chaired by Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue State which set up a Care taker Committee, with the mandate to resolving all pending issues before setting a date for the Congress.
The Senator Jeremiah Useni’s remark which signal that, Plateau PDP already has a parallel State EXCO due to the non adherence of some group to the faction on Saturday.
The Party leader and a nationalist, also recalled how the national gave a level play ground to everybody by setting up a committee chaired by Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State but, expressed disappointment saying, “Only for Theophilus Dakashan to at night sent a kangaroo officials to come and conduct a kangaroo exercise which can best be described as a Sham”
Useni said, “it is very sad the way things are happening, people do things in a very unfair manner.”
“I called Ortom and he was very disappointed too, i congratulated all aspirants for standing firm in what they believe in.
They have done their worst, but all I know is that there was no congress on the Plateau, we will swear- in our EXCO and see how the headquarters will now run two structures” said Useni.
“We are not confusionists and will not tolerate confusion, but if people want to set in confusion, we will use Confusion to settle confusion”“Do not look for trouble, don’t fight, don’t insult anybody, but remain firm until impunity is killed . Niger, Nassarawa amongst other States including Plateau had similar cases, so remain calm” the Party leader advised supporters.
